What Information Does ADAPT Collect?
Most data ADAPT collects is used only to help ADAPT better serve its clients and visitors. It is our general policy to collect and store only personal information that our clients and visitors knowingly provide. If our privacy policies change, we will notify all users by e-mail or a special announcement placed on the website.
Visitors to the public areas of ADAPT's Web site browse anonymously. Only aggregate data -- such as the number of hits per page -- are collected. Aggregate data are only used for internal and marketing purposes and do not provide any personally identifying information.
To order or to respond to requests for 'contact', 'product information', or 'to subscribe to the ADAPT newsletter' through this website, we need to collect and use personal data about you (your "Customer Information"). Please note that if you have any concerns about submitting customer information online, we will accept the necessary information by mail, fax or telephone as indicated on the relevant pages of the website.
At our online ADAPT Store, where you can order products, ADAPT does not collect any personal information from general visitors browsing its website or services. When you place an order with the ADAPT Store, we collect your contact and billing information so that we may send you an order confirmation, provide you with information regarding your purchase(s), and for the purpose of delivering your package. Financial information (such as credit card numbers and billing address) is used for payment processing only and is not retained for any other purpose. We do not share this information with any other parties.
ADAPT does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 and ADAPT products and services do not target information to children under 13. ADAPT is committed to protecting the privacy needs of children and we encourage parents to take an active role in your child's online activities and interests.
How Does ADAPT Use Data Collected?
ADAPT uses your information to help us understand your needs and interests and provide you with better services. In addition, the information may be used to improve the content of our website, customize the content and/or layout of each page for each individual visitor, notify visitors about updates to our website and/or contact visitors for marketing purposes.
We also use your information to help you complete a transaction or order, to communicate with you, to provide service and support, to update you on services and benefits, and to personalize promotional offers. Credit card information is used only for payment processing and fraud prevention and is not used for other purposes.
Data collection online may also be combined with information you provide through other sources such as product registration, call support or public events, such as trade shows or seminars.
Occasionally, we may also use your information to contact you for market research or to provide you with marketing information we think would be of particular interest. We will always provide you with the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us.
The personal information that you provide to ADAPT may be transferred within ADAPT and its distributors and across state or country borders. This may be done to consolidate data storage and simplify the management of customer information.
Choice - Consent to Use Personal Information
ADAPT will not sell, rent or lease your personally identifiable information to others. ADAPT will not share your personal information with a business partner or any unrelated third-party company unless you give your permission. ADAPT may share customer information under the limits stated above with our authorized distributors.
Authorized third-party agents may also need access to some of your personal information for the purposes of demonstrations, training, shipping or support. We only provide third-party agents with the minimum amount of information needed to complete the requested service. We do not otherwise share your personal information with third parties, unless we have your permission.
ADAPT will not use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ways described above without offering you a choice. We will also provide you the opportunity to let us know if you wish to opt-out of partial or all contact from ADAPT and we will do everything we can to honor such requests. Please contact ADAPT for assistance.
Access and Accuracy
In an effort to keep your personal information accurate, please notify us of changes to your name, address, title, phone number or email address. We have included contact information for ADAPT to update your information. We may process or store your information in our ADAPT database.
The most effective way to view, update or remove your information is to return to the web page where you originally submitted your data and follow the instructions on that web page or send us a message as described in the section below "Contacting us". Access to your stored information is also available upon request.
How we Protect your Privacy
ADAPT is committed to ensuring the security of your information. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, maintain data accuracy and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect from you online. Access to your personal information is limited to authorized personnel.

We only collect the e-mail addresses of those who voluntarily submit them to us by making postings to our discussion groups, ordering from us online, registering or subscribing to our e-mail offers.
If you received a mailing from us, (a) your email address is either listed with us as someone who has expressly shared this address for the purpose of receiving information in the future ("opt-in"), or (b) you have registered or purchased or otherwise have an existing relationship with us. We respect your time and attention by controlling the frequency of our mailings.
If you do not want to receive e-mail from us in the future, each email sent contains an easy, automated way for you to cease receiving email from us, or to change your expressed interests. If you wish to do this, simply follow the instructions at the end of any email by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org or writing to us at the above address and telling us that you do not want to receive e-mail from our company.
ADAPT provides an email newsletter service for visitors who voluntarily subscribe through an email newsletter registration process. The email newsletter service requires a visitor to provide some personally identifiable information (which includes name and email address) in exchange for the information provided in the email newsletter. All personally identifiable information provided by visitors becomes the property of ADAPT once it is received through the email newsletter registration process. ADAPT may use this information to better tailor the services and information delivered to the visitor in the email newsletter. Visitors may unsubscribe from the email newsletter service at any time by following the directions at the bottom of the email newsletter. ADAPT strictly prohibits the sending of unsolicited email messages through the email newsletter service. Please report any complaints regarding unsolicited email messages to email@example.com for review.
Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers online may receive telephone contact from us with information regarding orders they have placed online. They also may receive telephone contact from us with information regarding new products and services or upcoming events. If you supply us with your postal address you may receive periodic mailings from us with information on new products and services or upcoming events. If you do not wish to receive telephone calls or mailings from our company, please let us know by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org or writing to the above address. Please provide us with your exact name, phone number and address, and we will remove you from our house mailing and telemarketing list.
