Dr. Aalami has been actively engaged in the design and construction of numerous notable post-tensioned buildings, bridges, and special structures. Additionally, he has advanced the industry through worldwide educational seminars and extensive publications on concrete design. These resources have enriched the practice of engineers worldwide. As Senior Principal and Founder of ADAPT software, Dr. Aalami delivers leading software, consulting services, and professional training programs to structural design professionals worldwide. For over 20 years, Dr. Aalami has been developing and enhancing the ADAPT software suite, which serves more than 3500 customers in over 70 countries worldwide. Dr. Aalami earned his doctoral degree in structural engineering from Imperial College of Science and Technology and Medicine, London. As a Fulbright Scholar at Brown University, RI, and the University of California, Los Angeles, he carried out seminal research on the dynamic analysis of structures using the finite element technique.
Dr. Florian B. Aalami President Dr. Aalami is driving ADAPT's overall growth strategy by further strengthening the company's position as the leading provider of software and specialty consulting services for the concrete design industry. Florian has over 10 years of experience in AEC software development, including the founding of BuildPoint Corporation, where he served as CTO and Vice President of Business Development. Dr. Aalami earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and both a master's degree in structural engineering and a doctoral degree in construction technology from Stanford University. Mr. Suranjan Bhanja CEO ADAPT International Mr.Suranjan Bhanja is a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, a premier Institute in India. He has about thirty years of rich global experience in International S ales, Marketing, Business Development and General Management across sectors that include engineering products, A/E/C software solutions, IT / ITeS and BPO / KPO services. He is extremely familiar with the business dynamics of the Indian Subcontinent, China, Russia, Africa and the entire APAC region. He also has protracted experience in handling global business promotion of prestressing steel and systems, namely HT wires, PC Strands, the Gifford Udal / CCL prestressing system (for both pre and post tensioning), structural systems for cable supported bridges and structures, etc. Mr Bhanja has worked in different capacities with various organizations of global repute, namely as Vice President-International Business of Usha Martin Industries Limited, as the Chief Operating Officer- Asian Operations of Research Engineers Limited/ Netguru and as Executive Director Bentley Systems India Private Limited. Mr. Gerard J. McGuire EVP of Business Development Mr. McGuire with more than 20 years of experience in the prestressed concrete industry brings a wealth of professional knowledge, experience, and insight to help actualize ADAPT's vision of being the premier supplier of software solutions to the structural concrete industry. Gerard has been a member of various ACI and other standard setting organizations and committees. Over the years he has worked closely with members of IBC (International Building Council), FHWA (Federal Highway Administration) and other regulator agencies to safeguard and promote the highest quality standards of practice in design and construction of prestressed concrete. Mr. McGuire started his working career as a field engineer in Toronto, Canada and progressed through various positions in Edmonton, Vancouver, and Toronto to finally head up the Post- Tensioning Institute in Phoenix, Arizona as Executive Director for 10 years. He earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from University College Dublin, Dublin, Ireland. Mr. Nicolas G. Arnold VP of Product Development As Vice President of Product Development, Nicolas is responsible for ADAPT's product management and software development with its teams located in the US and India. Nicolas co-founded BuildPoint Corp. where he headed up a product development group. As a senior consultant at Siemens, he drove CMMI-based process improvement projects in agile product development organizations worldwide and worked with business units to evaluate and improve their innovation capabilities. Nicolas earned his Dipl.-Ing. degree in civil engineering from Technical University in Munich, Germany. |
